Baku, July 4, AZERTAC
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kuwait Emil Karimov has met with Director-General of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Fatima Al-Salem to discuss prospects for cooperation between KUNA and AZERTAC.
The two stressed the importance of closer relations between the two news agencies. During the conversation, they noted that KUNA and AZERTAC had signed an agreement of cooperation back in 2009.
Ambassador Karimov informed the KUNA Director-General about AZERTAC’s activities, its history spanning over a century, as well as the government’s care and attention to the media outlets.
Fatima Al-Salem noted that her agency is interested in delivering accurate news about Azerbaijan in a swift manner to the Kuwaiti and Arabic audience, which is why they place great emphasis on cooperation with Azerbaijan’s official state news agency. According to her, the sides may implement new projects and arrange mutual visits by journalists in order to further the relations.
The KUNA Director-General was presented with books about Azerbaijani history and culture, as well as the life and activities of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
